Family-owned coffee shop blends lattes with style

Starting a new business can be a daunting task in itself, but when the owners of Limestone Coffee and Tea in Batavia chose to open last September during the Wilson Street Bridge construction project, they had to serve up some patience along with their brew.
[...] Ertz, previously a stay-at-home mom, and Mares, a former dean of students at Queen of Peace High School in Burbank, went for a drive down the Fox River last year and saw the potential of opening their dream business in Batavia.
[...] “We compiled a list of what we liked about coffee places and added things we didn’t find in the chain stores. Limestone isn’t the usual coffee shop,” Ertz said.
