Our Story
We are a mother/daughter-owned business located in the heart of downtown Batavia, Illinois. We'd been tossing around the idea of going into business for quite a while before finally settling on the idea of opening a coffee house.
In the late summer of 2006, we took a drive along the Fox River, wondering where we could put our dream into reality. We were looking for an area that touted history, character, and a unique quality, and we eventually chose Batavia, Illinois.
Limestone is located half a block east of the Fox River and is open to those who enjoy outdoor activities. We love the fact that we are not only in the heart of the town of Batavia, but also a part of the neighborhood and warm community.
Limestone offers a variety of coffee including fair trade, organic, Swiss water decaf,
and flavored specialties. We receive coffee within 24 hours of roasting
from Chicago Coffee
Roasters out of Huntley, Illinois. Teaguys
from Hatfield, MA, supply our gourmet teas. These teas are blends of hand-cut
spices, chocolate, vanilla bean, and dried fruits & nuts. They not only
look great but have aromas and tastes that are above ordinary teas. This
is not your grandmother's tea!
As we continue to build our customer base, we hope to bring a quality product to you. You are important to us and we welcome any and all suggestions.
